PetConnect is your trusted platform for pet adoption in Sweden.
PetConnect is an online website that gathers and provides information on nonprofit animal organizations with shelter and rescue services within Sweden. Its purpose is to centralize all shelter and animal rescue resources and offer detailed adoption information to reduce the inconvenience and difficulty users may face during the search process.
But PetConnect is more than just an information site—we’re your dedicated community partner. By becoming a member, you can support our mission and connect with others who care about animal welfare.

Our mission is to connect people with Non-profit and all kinds of animal organizations by making the search process easier and more accessible for everyone—from dedicated shelter volunteers to first-time adopters and even senior pets waiting for a second chance.
We know that pet adoption isn’t always simple. That’s why we’re here to make it easier, more transparent, and more supportive—so that more pets can find their people, and more people can experience the joy of adoption.
PHILOSOPHY
The company was founded in 2025 and is run by Qianyi (Alex) in Gothenburg, Sweden. The website is named with the idea of creating connection — within the world of pets and between people and animals.
With a background in industrial design, child culture design, marketing, and product development, and as an active volunteer at Djurens Vänner Göteborg, Qianyi was inspired by her experiences meeting pet owners and working with shelters. The idea for PetConnect came from the realization that many shelters are unknown by people—even a shelter founded in 1975 was known only within its local neighborhood.
While Swedish animal rights organizations have their own ways of connecting with shelters, there is still a lack of easily searchable and clear information focused specifically on pet adoption. PetConnect was created to fill that gap — to make the search process simple, direct, and accessible to everyone.
